Why we run free learning labs
We started our learning labs to grow a community of engagement professionals who want to learn and development. A relaxed lunchtime session where people can listen, take part if they want to, eat their sandwich, and leave with at least one practical idea they can implement straight away.
Our aim is to build a network of people who care about doing this work well, who want to learn from each other, and who value honest conversations about what works, what doesn’t, and where the opportunities really are.
Between us, we bring 35 years of experience across public sector organisations. We’ve seen the pitfalls, the shortcuts, the missed opportunities and the moments where engagement genuinely changes something. These labs are our way of sharing those lessons openly - and hearing yours too.

Why summer matters
Communities don’t operate on organisational timetables. They don’t pause their experiences or opinions because it’s warm outside. Summer is often when people are out, relaxed, and more willing to share what they really think - sometimes while holding an ice cream.
